VERONE EVENT

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked before a first meeting: services, budget, timing and where we work. If yours isn't here, write to us.

What we do

What kinds of events do you organise?

Weddings, corporate events and private receptions. We also take on family celebrations, such as milestone birthdays, whenever the project calls for genuine design rather than pure logistics.

Do we have to hand you the whole event?

No. We offer three levels of support. Full planning covers everything, from the venue search to day-of coordination. Design and set design is for those running the organisation themselves who want to entrust us with the aesthetics. Day-of coordination takes over an event you have already organised, so that you can enjoy it.

The choice is made at the first meeting, once the project has taken shape, and we will sometimes point you towards the lighter option if that is what you actually need.

Do you offer catering?

Yes. Catering is part of our registered activity and we run it ourselves, alongside planning and decoration. It allows a rare consistency between the setting and the plate, since both are conceived together.

It is not compulsory, however: if your venue imposes its own supplier, or you already have one, we work with them.

Timing and process

How far in advance should we contact you?

For a wedding in high season, May to September, and Saturdays in June and September above all, allow twelve to eighteen months. That lead time is not ours but the venues' and the best suppliers', who are booked that far ahead.

Out of season, or for a corporate event less exposed to the weather, six months is often enough. For day-of coordination alone we can come in later: while an international project, conversely, needs more lead time.

What happens at the first meeting?

It is a conversation with no obligation and no charge, in French or in English, in person or by video call. Its purpose is to understand your project, your date, your venue if you already have one and the order of magnitude of your budget, and, just as importantly, to check that the chemistry is right.

We limit the number of events we take on for any given date, to guarantee every client our undivided attention. We may therefore be unavailable: it is best to contact us early.

Will you be there on the day?

Yes, in all our formats. We run the load-in, the sequencing of deliveries, the minute-by-minute run of show and the strike. Our presence is deliberately discreet: you don't see us, you see your event.

Budget

What budget should we allow?

There is no single price: the budget depends on guest numbers, venue, season and the scale of the scenography. As an indication, the projects we take on most often sit above €50,000, and our contact form offers brackets starting at that threshold.

We prefer to discuss budget openly from the first conversation. It is what allows us to say straight away whether the project is feasible as you picture it: rather than discovering it three meetings later.

How are your fees calculated?

They depend on the format chosen and on the scale of the project, and are quoted after the first meeting. The quotation separates our fees from the suppliers' budget, so that you always know what goes where.

Where we work

Which regions do you cover?

We are based in Mantes-la-Jolie, in the Yvelines, which puts us under an hour from most Île-de-France venues. We work throughout France, Provence, the Riviera, the Loire Valley, Normandy, as well as abroad.

For distant projects we work in grouped, deliberate trips rather than repeated visits, and we assemble the local network project by project, on trials and checked references.

Do you organise events outside France?

Yes. A project abroad needs more lead time, twelve to eighteen months is comfortable, and brings its own budget lines: team travel, accommodation for accompanying suppliers, equipment freight. We cost these in from the first estimate.

Feasibility turns on the destination, the season and the time available. It is best discussed early.

Do you work in English?

Yes, in French and in English, from the first conversation through to the crew briefings on the day, including the documents given to guests. Where another language is needed we bring a partner or an interpreter into the project, without coordination changing hands.
